A reminder if you are planning to go to Canada this summer.
Minnesotans will have to pack a passport when traveling up north starting June 1st.
Travelers will need a passport, passport card or special preapproved card from U.S. Customs and Border protection.
Some state licenses can be used to cross the border but Minnesota’s doesn’t apply.
You won’t be denied entry on June 1st if you don’t have your passport or other documents but customs and border protection is urging everyone to apply early.
