Exclusive Preview Event at Exit Art NYC Featured Special Musical Performances by Mayer Hawthorne & The County and DJ ?uestlove
New York, NY (December 8, 2011) – Hard Rock Hotels & Casinos executives were in NYC recently to showcase a new, innovative and free guest amenity program, The Sound of Your Stay™ (SOYS). The private preview, produced by BMF Media Group, was a cocktail party featuring executive meet-and-greets and live performances, taking place at Exit Art NYC, with a menu from renowned “rock n’ roll chef” Kerry Simon. Musical performances include Mayer Hawthorne & The County, DJ ?uestlove, John 5 from Marilyn Manson, DJ Jeffrey Tonneson, and two-time DMC world champion DJ Shiftee.
A cool mint on your pillow may be nice, but how about a curated list of songs? Perhaps a hot Fender® guitar instead? Or a professional DJ system? True to the luxury brand’s immersive musical ethos, The Sound of Your Stay is designed to provide Hard Rock guests with a unique and all-encompassing music experience. The program is currently offered at a limited number of properties, with plans to continue rolling out beginning early 2012. Eventually, all properties will offer this musical amenity.
Like a well-integrated triad chord, The Sound of Your Stay includes three elements available for free to hotel guests:
tracks. Already a popular amenity, “tracks.” can be found and experienced at every property. At check-in guests are given a code to download one of three 15-song playlists, offering a sonic guide for their Hard Rock Hotel experience. Currently on its fifth volume, the “tracks.” download amenity program is curated by music pros and celebrities. It has included 15 Grammy nominated artists and has featured numerous bands before they became household names.
picks. Available at several Hard Rock Hotels worldwide, and expected to roll out to every property by the end of 2012, “picks.” is an exclusive guitar amenity program in partnership with Fender®, for serious guitar players as well as novices. Guests can choose from a selection of Fender guitars including legendary Stratocasters, classic Telecasters and even basses, and have one delivered to their room along with a headphone amp and high-def SOUL by Ludacris headphones, to rock out as hard as they want with zero noise complaints. And if they feel like picking up a few new “licks,” Hal Leonard has provided video lessons of some of the greatest guitar anthems of all time.
mix. If guitar isn’t their thing, guests can turn their hotel room into a private club with “mix.” Hard Rock Hotel’s new DJ amenity program. Guests can choose from one of several Traktor Kontrol S2 systems and have it delivered to their room along with a 30-day demo version of Traktor PRO 2 software to load on their PC or Mac, and a pair of SOUL by Ludacris High Def headphones. Instantly match beats like a pro, and enjoy multi-effects that skip and bend even the most familiar songs into new shapes. Dubspot will provide complimentary video lessons to help unleash guests’ inner DJ. The “mix.” program is currently being beta tested, with plans to implement soon at all Hard Rock Hotel properties.
“Music is the soul of the Hard Rock brand, something that truly sets Hard Rock Hotels apart as a travel destination,” stated Head of Global Marketing, Hotels & Casinos Brian Klein. “Our new amenity program, The Sound of Your Stay, is intended to enhance and expand the musical dimension of our guests’ experience.”
