Hotel Owners Finding Relief with the Lexington Collection

(CLEVELAND, May 3, 2011) ? Hotel owners who are sick and tired of high franchise fees and outrageous Property Improvement Plans are continuing to find relief with the Lexington Collection? of hotels, inns, and suites. Just recently, the former Hawthorn Suites in Wichita Falls, TX joined the brand as a Lexington Suites.
?The Lexington corporate team went out of its way to make sure the transition from Hawthorn Suites to Lexington Suites was incredibly smooth,? said Brij M. Madan, managing member of the 90-room, all-suites property located in the heart of Wichita Falls. ?In the short time we have been members of Lexington, we have seen better GDS and OTA support, greater market penetration, and more comprehensive training and support than we ever had before. The agreement was simple, the fees are lower, and the resources we receive are tailored to our property.?
The Lexington Suites of Wichita Falls offers guests a complimentary hot breakfast every morning and a Manager?s Reception from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday, with complimentary beer, wine, and appetizers. Their outstanding guest services also include an onsite fitness center, trainers on call, and access to a nearby, full-service health club.
?Instead of competing with local rates, we are focused on providing our guests with value-added services like our hot breakfasts and Manager?s Receptions, and it?s working because our growing occupancy is a trend this hotel has not experienced in recent times,? said Madan.

?The Lexington brand is made for properties just like the one in Wichita Falls,? said Bill Hanley, group president of the Lexington Collection. ?They already had great management in place and they understand the importance of reaching out to their market niche with unique services. With Lexington, they now have a brand that supports their individuality, continues to give them the resources they need, doesn?t demand unreasonable brand standards, and, most importantly, has the lowest fees in the industry.?
Hanley expects Lexington to add at least 15 properties by the end of the year. The Lexington brands currently include 24 properties either in the system or under development throughout the United States and China.
