BigHospitality put some of the industry?s major concerns to BHA’s Chief Executive Ufi?Ibrahim in an interview at the BHA?s London head office, to find out where the association stands on key issues.
Ufi Ibrahim, the BHA?s new chief executive, joined the association last summer and by the end of the year had launched a new agenda for 2011 ? The Hospitality Economy Proposition ? and had announced five key areas on which they would drive industry action and change.
These five areas are: Economy, Employment, Intelligent regulation, Sustainability, and Health.
But the recent changes in licensing, immigration and tax laws have unloaded a ton of red tape on the hospitality industry at a time when businesses are still struggling to recover from the economic recession.
