Air India?s Gagan Narang is first medalist for India at Olympics 2012

Air India?s Gagan Narang became the winner of the first medal for India in the 2012 Olympics being held at London when he clinched the Bronze in the 10 metre air rifle event. This is India’s 10th individual medal in the history of Olympics.

Gagan Narang, an employee of Air India from Hyderabad a two time world record setter, won four gold medals in the 2010 Commonwealth Games at Delhi and followed with two silver medals in the Guangzhou Asian Games. He was the first Indian to qualify for the 2012 London Olympics. He has over 40 medals under his belt from various prestigious international competitions.
