On March 6th, 2012, the Fountain Valley City Council unanimously approved the plan to build a 124 room Ayres Hotel near the Civic Center in the heart of Fountain Valley, CA. Located on Brookhurst Street near Slater Avenue, the hotel will be the 21st in the Ayres Hotels of Southern California collection, which operates properties in Los Angeles, Orange, and San Diego Counties as well as in the Inland Empire. The project site currently houses a vacant 116,472 square-foot commercial building that will be replaced by the 124 room hotel, 88 residential units, and 2,300 square feet of retail/storage space as part of the Fountain Valley Civic Center Specific Plan Project. The new hotel will also house a day spa similar to Ayres Hotel & Spa Mission Viejo and Ayres Hotel & Spa Moreno Valley offering various massage and facial treatments.
