Behind the scenes at London 2012

What is your role at London 2012?
I work at the Main Press Centre as the main help desk team leader.  My role is to work with the media with a big smile on my face and make sure they?re happy and that I am answering any questions they might have.

What do you think the Games will do for the country?
The Games have put London at the forefront of the world at this very moment! They?ve made people really positive, motivated and very excited.  From the people I work with to those I see in the Olympic Park, everyone is having really good time being involved, and that?s what?s really important: that we all have a good time.  Also the volunteers have put a lot of time and energy into the Olympics, and it?s really exciting to see them arrive in the morning with so much energy and dynamism.

What do you think the legacy of the Games is?
On a local scale for London, it?s very important the way they?ve redefined the Stratford area of East London. On a national scale they?ve made people more aware of what you can achieve in sport. People just seem more motivated to do things that they thought that they couldn?t before.

How do you feel about having the Games in Great Britain?
I think it?s very exciting to have everybody here. The whole world is watching!
