Adding tenth member to the alliance expands global reach for customers
China Airlines, member of SkyTeam, today became a member of the SkyTeam Cargo Alliance at the International Air Cargo Forum and Exposition in Atlanta.
Mr. James Yu, Senior Vice President of China Airlines and Mr. Tony Charaf, Senior Vice President and Chief Cargo Officer of Delta Air Lines, representing the SkyTeam Cargo Executive Board, signed the agreement, officially welcoming China Airlines Cargo as the tenth member of SkyTeam Cargo.
Mr. Yu said: ?China Airlines joined the SkyTeam Alliance last September. One year later, we are deeply honored to join the world’s only air cargo alliance. As one of the leading brands among cargo carriers, we will be willing and delighted to share our experiences, via this alliance platform, among all members to better meet customers? needs. Completing all the prerequisites and joining as an official member of SkyTeam Cargo is by no means a closure, but the beginning of an exciting journey. To welcome this new epoch in China Airline?s history, we pledge to work closely with our partners for the bright future of SkyTeam Cargo.?

With its extensive route network throughout Asia, Europe, North America and Oceania and strong exposure in the cross-strait market, China Airlines will certainly enhance the network and opportunities of the alliance. Our members can easily connect with the vast network of China Airlines, allowing even more customers to enjoy the standardized product line and services offered by SkyTeam Cargo.?
China Airlines will launch the SkyTeam Cargo common product line, including Equation, Cohesion, Variation and Dimension on its international routes to meet diversified customer needs and increase customer satisfaction. In addition, China Airlines will adopt SkyTeam Cargo unified service standards, simplify handling procedures, and bring more benefits to customers via close cooperation with each of the SkyTeam Cargo member carriers.
