Flying Blue: even more seats available as award tickets

With its ?Flex? awards, Air France KLM enables customers to travel with even more flexibility.
Award tickets represent on average 4% of seat capacity, or the equivalent of 13 Airbus A380 per day.
An extended range of benefits
In June 2012, Air France KLM launched major new innovations as a result of surveys conducted with customers. In this way, Flying Blue members benefit from even more advantages:

  • It is now easier to maintain your Elite status (Silver, Gold and Platinum): all status miles above the level of the customer?s current card are automatically carried over from one year to another.
  • On medium-haul flights, customers only have to pay the separate airport taxes when using an award ticket. The amount of the fuel surcharge is now directly incorporated into the cost of the ticket in miles.

A simplified offer of frequent flyer benefits
Flying Blue is the leading frequent flyer programme in Europe with 21 million members. It comprises 31 airlines and more than 100 non-airline partners. The more members travel, the more rewards they receive. They just need to show their Flying Blue card to access the numerous services specially designed to make their trip as enjoyable as possible.
Online at www.airfrance.com and www.klm.com, members can consult their account whenever they wish, obtain award tickets, request modifications and updates and access special offers which are only available online, called Web@wards.
To find out about all the programme has to offer, a real online ?boutique? dedicated to Flying Blue members, called the Flying Blue Store, is available online at www.flyingbluenews.com.
