Where: Situated at the high point of Surlej, Switzerland, some three miles from St. Moritz. Guests get ski-in/ski-out and trail access to Corvatsch. It?s also in close proximity to Lake Silvaplana, which boasts superb kitesurfing and windsurfing.
What: First and foremost, an eye-opening view of the Engadin Mountains from your room. Also a big bath and rainfall shower, plus a grand terrace or balcony. Dining is delightfully diverse?there?s finer fare at Stars, Swiss casual at Stalla Veglia, a bistro, bakery and rooftop bar. As you?d expect of any good ski resort, there?s a spa, replete with sauna, steam room and whirlpool with what the hotel describes as ?an underwater relaxation bed? (this essentially means you get to lay back effortlessly while coddled by warm, whirling water, but they had us at whirlpool).
Who: Ski enthusiasts and mountain bikers/hikers alike. This place is stunning in summer or winter.
