There will be GE equipment in all sporting and non-sporting venues at London 2012, including the Olympic Village. GE will provide power, heating and cooling systems across the Park for the Games and for the new buildings and communities that will develop after 2012. GE is also working with the Mayor and Transport for London (TfL), in association with LOCOG (London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games), and with fellow London 2012 sustainability partners, to install 120 GE charge points that will support a fleet of zero-emission electric vehicles set to be used during the London 2012 Games. These points will then provide a post-Games legacy for London.
GE is also equipping the Polyclinic in the Olympic Village, where athletes will have access to best-in-class digital imaging including MRI, CT, X-Ray and Ultrasound. The Polyclinic will provide an additional healthcare facility for the local community after the Games.
GE?s Olympic Games partnership was launched in January 2005, and an extension to the partnership was announced in July 2011, taking it through to 2020, including the Sochi 2014 Winter Games, the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, the PyeongChang 2018 Winter Games and the 2020 Olympic Games.
