HRC Nashville Hosts "Peace & Love" Birthday Bash for Ringo Starr

RINGO STARR CELEBRATED HIS BIRTHDAY WITH PEACE & LOVE AT NOON AT HARD ROCK CAFE NASHVILLE ON JULY 7

Ringo Starr celebrated his birthday Saturday, July 7, 2012, in Nashville where he and his wife Barbara joined family, friends and fans in front of Hard Rock Cafe Nashville and share a “Peace & Love” salute at noon. The now traditional Peace & Love celebration invites everyone everywhere to say, think or do Peace & Love at noon their time. Starr began the tradition of celebrating Peace & Love birthday parties with Hard Rock in 2008, when he and Barbara joined throngs of fans on the street in front of Hard Rock Cafe Chicago; the next was a traffic-stopping event in front of Hard Rock Cafe New York in Times Square and last year saw them at Hard Rock Hamburg.

Fans slept overnight to get a good spot for the event, and despite 100 degree heat were treated to an outdoor concert featuring Ed Roland & The Sweet Tea Project and Tonic. This was an extra special birthday for Ringo, who also performed with his All Starr Band at the legendary Ryman Theater. As a longtime fan of country music, Ringo has a special connection to Nashville, where he also recorded an album, “Beacoups of Blues” in 1970.

Also available in stores now, Hard Rock is offering the limited-edition Ringo Starr Signature Series: Edition 28, designed by the legendary rocker himself, featuring his own original artwork. Fifteen percent of the purchase price from the Ringo Starr Signature Series will be donated to Starr’s charity The Lotus Foundation to directly benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation®, which grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions.

PEACE, LOVE & RINGO!
