It always starts with one grape. Veraison is coming to Sonoma County. It?s still early, but our grapes are starting to turn purple, in this case, one at a time.
Our winemaker snapped this picture of a cluster of Cabernet Sauvignon starting to change color from green to purple.?This is exciting for us because it means the berries are starting to ripen.
It may seem like a small thing, just one purple grape in a cluster of green, but it means the most exciting time of the year, Harvest, is starting to creep into view.
Check back next week when our Winemaker starts talking about the preparation he and his teams start to make ahead of the Fall season. This little purple grape is the beginning of a lot of fun, hard work over the next few months.
