Located at Somerset House, the Brazilian hospitality house will offer its visitors a chance to discover Brazilian culture and sport, as well as to get an update on preparations for the next Summer Olympic Games in 2016.
As Carlos Arthur Nuzman, President of Rio 2016, said: ?As we prepare to host the Games after London, Casa Brasil will be even more important in showcasing our project, Brazilian culture, the country as a tourist destination and its new business opportunities. We want visitors in London to get the first feel of a vibrant and transformed Rio, which will host the Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2016.?
A strong presence in London
The Organising Committee for the next Summer Games is present in London with a strong workforce composed of 152 staff, who will be participating in the IOC Observers? Programme, and 51 representatives of different levels of government, who are also here to learn from this Games experience. Such an experience will be invaluable for all the Rio 2016 team, which will be reinforced next November on the occasion of the debriefing of the London Games in Rio.
