Royal Jordanian ? official carrier of the Jordanian Paralympic team to London

Jordan Paralympics Committee selected Royal Jordanian to be the official carrier for the Jordanian team participating in the Paralympic Games that will set off on August 23 in London, just after the closing of the London Olympics 2012.

The RJ sponsorship involves free round trip tickets to the Jordanian Paralympic team members on the Amman/London/Amman route, and easy travel procedures at Queen Alia and Heathrow international airports.

Royal Jordanian President/CEO Amer Hadidi expressed satisfaction with RJ being named the official carrier for the Jordanian Paralympic team, and praised the skills and competitiveness of the athletes. He wished them achievements in the tournament.

Hadidi stressed that contributing to this event is part of the company?s philosophy, which aims at strengthening RJ?s presence through social, economic, arts and sports activities. RJ is aware of its social responsibility and the role that the private sector can play in supporting sports, he added.

He also pointed out that Royal Jordanian is committed to supporting sport activities and teams, and to encouraging the athletes with special needs, helping them to compete in the international events. RJ believes in the importance of integrating this group in the society.

General Secretary of the Jordan Paralympic Committee Suleiman Al Rousan thanked Royal Jordanian for this generous initiative that will amply contribute to supporting and encouraging practicing sports among people with disabilities. He also expressed hope that the Jordanian team participating in the Paralympic Games 2012 in London will see success.

The teams will participate in table tennis, powerlifting, and athletics, according to Rousan, who stressed that the team is determined to return with gold, silver and bronze medals, as they always did.

Mahmoud Attari, CEO M.V.P, the sports branding company that coordinates this event, praised the role Royal Jordanian is playing in supporting sport activities and people with special needs, calling on all companies, in both public and private sectors, to support Jordanian sport activities.
