Managers and staff from pubs in Leeds, Exeter and Plymouth offered their services in two very special volunteering initiatives.
The teams of volunteers took part in garden make-over projects, for two families supported by CLIC Sargent, one in Dawlish, Devon and the other in Ripon, North Yorkshire.
Pub managers and staff from the six pubs in Leeds, Becketts Bank, Stick or Twist, The Cuthbert Brodrick, The Hedley Verity, The Three Hulats and Wetherspoons, as well as The Crossed Shuttle in Pudsey, embarked on a two-day job in Ripon.
The pubs raised more than ?400, to pay for equipment and materials, to transform a totally overgrown garden into a place of peace and relaxation, for one young person supported by CLIC Sargent.

Volunteers from George?s Meeting House and The Imperial, both in Exeter, as well as The Britannia Inn and The Gog & Magog, both in Plymouth, are pictured during their garden make-over project in Dawlish.
The pubs also raised over ?400 to transform a garden, for a family supported by CLIC Sargent, into a bright and safe summer play area for the children.
The team laid the foundations for a vegetable patch, built a rockery and herb garden, laid turf, painted brickwork in the garden and erected a shed for bike storage.
India Lawton, Wetherspoon Campaign Manager at CLIC Sargent, said: ?A massive thank you to everyone involved, for all their hard work and enthusiasm on these two projects.
?Their efforts have transformed two gardens and have helped to make life a little easier for two families during a stressful time.?
