SWISS has appointed a new member to its Media Relations unit. Mehdi Manuel Guenin, who is 31 and a native of Biel in Northwest Switzerland, joins the company?s Corporate Communications team as a media relations officer on 1 February. He succeeds Jean-Claude Donzel (63), who is taking regular retirement after 45 years with SWISS and its predecessor Swissair.
Mehdi Guenin holds a degree in business administration from the Neuch?tel Business School, and is currently studying for a master?s in corporate communications at the Northwestern Switzerland University of Applied Sciences & Arts. He can draw on journalistic experience as a presenter and reporter with bilingual (French and German) local TV station TeleBielingue; and his previous positions have further included responsibility for marketing and communications at the DOXA watch company.
The SWISS Media Relations team is headed by Susanne M?hlemann, and has Sonja Ptassek and Myriam Ziesack as its further members.
