Terminated Pilots of Air India show willnginess to join back; submit their Representations against Termination

Forty out of 99 pilots who were terminated from Air India for going on strike have so far submitted their representations against termination and have indicated their willingness to join back their duties. Nine representations were received yesterday and another 31 representations have been received today.

A three members committee has been constituted by Air India comprising of Director (Personnel), SBU Head-MRO(Airframe), and Executive Director (Industrial Relations) to consider the representations of the terminated pilots. The committee had asked the nine pilots who represented yesterday, to appear before it today. However, only one pilot appeared before the Committee today. The Committee has been advised to work on Saturday also to consider the representations at the earliest, and has accordingly asked another eight pilots to appear before it at Mumbai tomorrow.
