The Retreat, an exclusive pop-up members club based at The Brewery got off to a flyer on Opening Ceremony night as more than 700 guests enjoyed standup comedy from Lenny Henry, sumptuous food and drink, plus guest DJ Mat Horne on the decks.
Guests from a diverse range of London-based companies mingled with international visitors to enjoy an alfresco drinks reception in The Park, before taking their seats in the Retreat’s very own Cinema for a sidesplitting performance by comedian Lenny Henry.
The biggest cheer of the night however was reserved for Danny Boyle’s Isles of Wonder. Guests gathered around big screens throughout The Brewery to marvel at the Olympic Opening Ceremony.
Other performances on the night, which have had guests acclaiming The Retreat as the number one pop-up hospitality venue in London for the Olympic period, included resident DJ Nathalie Morel and Jersey Budd. DJ Nathalie Morel said: “What an epic opening night at The Brewery. Such an honour to play at such a beautiful venue.”
Six themed areas at this exclusive hospitality house all offer something completely unique. Guests can dance the night away until 2am in The Club, receive beauty treatments in the Backstage Area and hang out in The Great British Diner or in The Country Club.
Olympic events are being shown each day on big screens in each of the six themed areas, with the venue opening for breakfast at 6.30am. The Retreat also offers unrestricted WiFi throughout and an onsite five-star hotel.
Day membership is still available for £294 inclusive and The Brewery is also taking enquiries for private hire and corporate entertaining packages.
