US Airways’ Diversity Initiatives Honored

US Airways (NYSE: LCC) is named as one of the 50 best U.S. companies for Hispanic women to work for in the current issue of LATINA?Style?magazine. It is the third year in a row that US Airways has been included on the LATINA?Style?list. The magazine reviewed more than 800 corporations and included US Airways as the only airline among its top 50 companies.

The magazine’s 15th?annual ranking sets the standard for identifying corporations that are providing the best career opportunities for Latinas in the U.S. LATINA?Style?applauded US Airways for the carrier’s recruitment and mentoring of Hispanic women, providing leadership training and career counseling, the carrier’s employee Hispanic association, recruiting through Hispanic media and for creating a family-friendly work environment.

As part of US Airways’ commitment to promoting and maintaining a diverse workforce and creating opportunities for career advancement it provides all 32,000 employees with access to various business resource groups, including the Professional Latino Airline Network of Employees (PLANE).
