Hapag-Lloyd informs about the current situation.
As a result of a maintenance program on the ramp number 1 located inside the Terminal Port of ICAVE, the direct rail service has been suspended expecting to be reactivated on August 6, 2012.
Since it is not possible to move cargo in or out of the terminal via rail, please consider following options:
- Change transport mode to truck. Please consider applicable rates and inland cargo weight restrictions. (Maximum 21 tons per container)
- Move cargo to the rail ramp located at Santa Fe by truck and then rail to the destination ramp. This scenario has an additional charge of USD 200 per container which includes handlings at both terminals and drayage between them.
Please let us have your choice as soon as possible. We estimate that due to this contingency inland transit time is being increased with four additional days.
