Mayrhofen invites visitors for the first time to the spectacular ?Rise & Fall? winter opening
On 15.12.2012 ?for the first time in Mayrhofen: four people, one team and no mercy! Top athletes from the disciplines ?ski mountaineering, paragliding, mountain biking and skiing will prove their skills for the first time in an extraordinary relay competition staged around the Ahorn. In addition to a first-class supporting programme, a concert with high-calibre live act will follow the award ceremony!
World first at Hintertux Glacier
The new 10-person ?Gefrorene Wand? gondola on the ?Hintertux Glacier leads from Tuxer Fernerhaus (2,660 m) directly to the glacier ski area at 3,033 metres. The worldwide first 10-person gondola? made by Doppelmayr features heated seats and replaces the ?Gefrorene Wand 3a? double chair lift.
?Shreadheadz? will find an ultimate playground for improving their skills in the new Winterpark Hintertux at Sommerberg. The 4-person Tuxerjoch lift with bubble will comfortably transport ?everybody. As a result, the freestyle winter will be prolonged and, with the exception of the short break ?in August, the park will now be open throughout the year for? Hintertux Glacier fun.
