Australia?s First TRYP by Wyndham Hotel to Open in Brisbane?s Fortitude Valley

GOLD COAST, QLD (May 3, 2013)???Wyndham Hotel Group, part of the?Wyndham Worldwide?family of companies (NYSE: WYN), today announced plans to introduce the select-service?TRYP by Wyndham???brand in Australia with the signing of an agreement to open the TRYP Fortitude Valley in Brisbane.

The four-storey hotel, expected to be completed by mid 2014, is currently under construction in the heart of Brisbane?s Fortitude Valley on Constance Street. ?Owned and developed by Jay McPhee, the hotel will be managed by Australian-based Resort Management by Wyndham.

The brand?s ?Own the City? culture, which openly displays passion for guests and for the cities in which TRYP by Wyndham properties are located, aims to help guests make the most of their travels.

TRYP Fortitude Valley will put guests within walking distance of key business centres and some of Brisbane city?s top attractions including world-class shopping and dining, Fortitude Valley?s iconic ?super clubs? and bars, James Street Market and Chinatown.

The hotel will feature an exceptional blend of finishes showcasing elements of Brisbane?s unique heritage, including 150-year-old renewed timber flooring. Rustic features fused with clean lines and ultra contemporary fittings will feature throughout the hotel?s guest rooms and social spaces. A ground-floor restaurant and bar, plus an executive meeting room, will add to the appeal of the Fortitude Valley location.

This new development follows Wyndham Hotel Group?s recent Melbourne CBD property addition, the Wyndham on William, another milestone in the company?s plans to expand its hotel portfolio across the South Pacific. Select brands the company has identified for growth include Wyndham? Hotels and Resorts, Ramada?, Days Inn?, TRYP by Wyndham and Planet Hollywood Hotels.

TRYP Fortitude Valley will join other Wyndham Hotel Group properties in Queensland including Wyndham Surfers Paradise, Ramada Resort Port Douglas and Ramada Hotel and Conference Centre Marcoola Beach. Wyndham Hotel Group currently has 13 properties open and operating across the South Pacific under its Wyndham, Days Inn?, Ramada? and Ramada Encore brands. Recent additions in Australia over the last three years include Wyndham on William (Melbourne CBD), Ramada Resort Phillip Island, Ramada Resort Port Douglas, Wyndham Resort Torquay and Wyndham Surfers Paradise.
