CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (August 6, 2013)?– The Chattanoogan, Chattanooga’s only AAA Four Diamond-rated full-service hotel, has hired Adriane Elrod as the hotel’s new group sales manager. Ms. Elrod is responsible for securing new and existing group rooms business at the upscale hotel.
Elrod has worked in sales for the past decade, most recently in the hospitality industry as thedirector of sales for Candlewood Suites in Tuscaloosa, Ala. In that role, she led her sales team to producing the highest sales records to date at the hotel. Ms. Elrod spent almost four years as a marketing associate with Sysco Gulf Coast, where she was honored for her exemplary sales achievements.
In addition, she worked for two years with O.C. Tanner, an international employee recognition company based in Salt Lake City, Utah, as an account specialist. During her tenure there, she specialized in global sales, program building and sales support.
Ms. Elrod also worked as an event planner and agent care coordinator with ERA King Real Estate Company in Anniston, Ala. She began her career at the Best Western of Fort Payne in Fort Payne, Ala.
Elrod attended Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, Ala. She was an active volunteer in Alabama, and looks forward to becoming involved in the Chattanooga community. Elrod enjoys traveling, health and fitness, culinary arts, and animal rescue.
The Chattanoogan’s IACC-certified, newly renovated 25,000 square-foot conference center features a high-tech learning environment with comprehensive meeting planning and audiovisual support services. The facility includes 20 dedicated meetingrooms with five general session rooms accommodating 25 to 100 guests; a 16-seat circular board room with a flat data screen; 12 break-out rooms; a 7,500 square-foot ballroom (the largest in Chattanooga); and an amphitheater withseating for 85. All meeting rooms offer complete networking capabilities and wireless Internet.
