Lahaina, Hawaii (August 7, 2013)?- Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa recently announced the appointment of Allan Farwell as General Manager. Farwell, most recently the General Manager at Hyatt Regency Indian Wells, joins the Hyatt Regency Maui team as General Manager with over 35 years of experience in the hospitality industry. A seasoned Hyatt veteran, Farwell has served as General Manager for various Hyatt hotels for 23 years, overseeing luxury and flagship properties across the United States.
“After six years in beautiful Indian Wells, I am thrilled to bring my experience to the outstanding team at Hyatt Regency Maui,” remarked Farwell. “The thriving tourism industry of the islands is truly impressive, and I look forward to becoming a part of such an amazing hospitality industry. Farwell was first appointed as a Hyatt General Manager in 1990, where he served at the Park Hyatt Chicago. Throughout the years he has spent time as General Manager of the Park Hyatt Washington D.C., Hyatt Regency Chicago, and Hyatt Regency La Jolla, among other luxury properties.
Farwell brings to Maui a keen eye for hospitality innovation, a dedication to the Hyatt brand, and a strong sense of community involvement. In Palm Springs, Farwell served as Chairman of the California Hotel and Lodging Association, Chairman of the Palm Springs Desert Resort Convention and Visitors Bureau, and Board Member of the Boys and Girls Club of Coachella Valley. Farwell has been recognized for his hospitality experience with a nomination for “Hyatt Hotels General Manager of the Year.”
In his free time, Farwell enjoys spending time with his wife and his daughter, a recent graduate of the University of South Carolina.
