Cheraz Ecker Named as General Manager for the 356-room Loews Madison Hotel in Washington, D.C.

WASHINGTON, DC (September 5, 2013)?— Loews Hotels & Resorts today announced the appointment of Cheraz Ecker as General Manager of Loews Madison Hotel. With 25 years of hospitality experience, she will manage all sales, marketing and operational aspects of the hotel.

Ecker was most recently the Director of Rooms Division for the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center. While there, she successfully reversed declining service scores and implemented processes that significantly increased revenues without compromising quality.

Previously, Ecker was Director of Operations for The Venetian Las Vegas Resort Hotel Casino and opened The Palazzo Hotel Resort. After a decade of operating 5-Diamond luxury hotels on the Las Vegas “Strip,” she moved to Asia to be the General Manager for Singapore’s 5-Star luxury hotel, Marina Bay Sands. Ecker’s ability to assemble talented teams, increase value by creating a culture of accountability, gain buy-in and drive results greatly contributed to the hotel’s success and ability to generate 305.8M – the highest quarterly adjusted property EBITDA margin in the company’s history.

A native of East Lansing, Michigan, Ecker attended The University of Nevada Las Vegas where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Hotel Administration. A mother of two, Ecker currently resides in Falls Church, Virginia.
