Christopher Pageaud Named Food & Beverage Director for the 805-room Fairmont San Jose in California

SAN JOSE, CA, September 23, 2013?-The Fairmont San Jose, an 805-room luxury hotel in the heart of Silicon Valley, proudly announces the appointment of Christopher Pageaud as Food & Beverage Director. Pageaud, who after 10 years of working at sister Fairmont properties officially began his new appointment in April of this year.

During his tenure at The Fairmont San Francisco as Food & Beverage Manager, Christopher oversaw 200 colleagues and was applauded for garnering revenue increases of 7% YOY. Prior to this post, he spent a number of years at The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess, where he held progressive positions including Director of Restaurants.

Christopher is a graduate of the Paris Hotel School and holds multiple designations from Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration. During his studies in Paris, Christopher garnered fine dining tutelage at Restaurant Fouquet’s, Hotel St James Paris, Hotel Noga Hilton Cannes, and the Hotel Tour Rose Lyon. Following his academics, he held posts with La Quinta Resort & Club and Ritz- Carlton, Half Moon Bay, California. A native of Nantes, in France’s Loire Valley, Pageaud is a self-proclaimed “foodie” – passionate about fine wines and ‘local-vore’ cuisines.

He, his wife and their two kids reside on the East Bay. An avid wine and cigar aficionado, he also enjoys antiques and collectables and studying American history.

In his new position at this luxury San Jose hotel, he will manage a team of over 200 colleagues. He plans to focus on further elevating guest dining experiences while developing a strong food and beverage reputation within the local community. His success will be driven by crafting dynamic menus and events that reflect the sophistication of Northern California. He is also committed to driving partnerships with various downtown organizations that further elevate San Jose as a premiere business and entertainment hub.
