August 6, 2013 (New York, NY)?- Gramercy Park Hotel in the Flatiron District of New York City, has announced the appointment of Daniel Entenberg as General Manager. Drawing on more than a decade of experience in the luxury hotel business, including success at stylish addresses in New York, Los Angeles and Las Vegas, Entenberg is responsible for all operations at the historic property set a stone’s throw from the only private park in Manhattan.
Gramercy Park Hotel is the third Manhattan address that Entenberg has worked with since he launched his career at W New York Hotel in 2001. He arrived from W New York Times Square, where he spent the past two years as Director of Operations. Entenberg also served as Acting General Manager for his last four months at the hotel.
Previously Entenberg was based in Las Vegas, having risen from Director of Rooms to Executive Director of Hotel Operations over three years at Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas. The latter assignment saw him realigning the hotel division and financial structure of the 1,400 room property, while successfully heightening service to elevate the resort’s AAA ranking from three to four Diamonds.
Prior to Las Vegas, Entenberg spent a half-dozen years in Los Angeles with assignments at W Los Angeles Hotel; Viceroy Santa Monica Hotel and Sofitel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills. At Sofitel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills, Entenberg led a $90 million renovation while aiding development of a new “Sofitel Look” that repositioned the 295-room hotel.
Born in Brooklyn, New York and raised in Pennsylvania, Entenberg earned a Bachelor of Sciences in Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management from Pennsylvania State University. He resides in Manhattan. In his spare time, Entenberg enjoys fitness and wellness activities.
