Denihan Hospitality Group Promotes Patrick Chiappetta to Corporate Director of Restaurants and Bars

New York, NY (August 27, 2013)?- Denihan Hospitality Group, a full-service hotel management and development company that owns and operates boutique hotels in major urban markets in the U.S., has announced the promotion of Patrick Chiappetta to Corporate Director of Restaurants and Bars. In his new role, Patrick directs the culinary, catering, staff training and marketing efforts throughout Denihan’s companywide restaurant and bar operations.

Chiappetta joined Denihan in 2010 as Director of Operations for Art and Soul, helmed by two-time James Beard award-winning Chef Art Smith. During Chiappetta’s tenure at Art and Soul, the restaurant received numerous accolades including being named to the “Top 100 Wine Lists in the U.S.” by Wine Enthusiast.

“Denihan takes a strategic approach in creating exciting and relevant dining destinations for our guests,” explains Danette Opaczewski, EVP Operations and Technology at Denihan. “Patrick possesses the talent, drive, knowledge and creative inspiration to further propel Denihan’s restaurant and bar initiatives as we continue to expand our portfolio.”

Chiappetta began his restaurant career at Bloom Restaurant in Broomfield, Colo. and later made his way to Frasca Food and Wine in Boulder cultivating his innate passion for wine. Before relocating to the east coast, Chiappetta served as the Regional Director of Arizona-based Fox Restaurant Concepts in Denver.

An active volunteer, Chiappetta was a mentor Boulder, Colo. for the “I Have a Dream Foundation,” an organization that motivates and empowers children from low-income communities. He spent eight months in Granada, Nicaragua working with local children while consulting at Caf? Chavalos, a restaurant operated by troubled youths. Chiappetta is a fitness enthusiast and enjoys running marathons and completing Ironman triathlons. A graduate of the University of Colorado at Boulder, he received a degree in History and Secondary Education.

Denihan partners with some of the country’s most renowned and recognized chefs, nightlife operators and iconic brands, which is reflected throughout its portfolio of boutique/lifestyle hotels. Restaurants include Daniel Boulud at The Surrey in New York City, David Burke Primehouse at The James Chicago, CATCH Miami at The James Royal Palm, Miami and Geoffrey Zakarian’s The National Bar and Dining Rooms at The Benjamin in midtown Manhattan. And among Denihan’s hotel bars: SL Miami at The James Royal Palm, Bar Pleiades at The Surrey, Jimmy at The James New York, and a much-anticipated, second Jimmy opening at The James Chicago later this month.
