London – 3 September 2013?- Dorchester Collection’s three hotels in the United Kingdom – iconic British classic The Dorchester, contemporary Mayfair alternative 45 Park Lane, and luxury country house hotel Coworth Park – today announced new appointments to the area sales team to manage fast growing international interest in the UK’s luxury travel sector post Olympics.
James Partridge has been appointed to area director of sales from his previous position as director of group and event sales held since June 2011, during which time he restructured the department effecting strong revenue growth. Prior to joining Dorchester Collection, James was general manager of The Montpellier Chapter Hotel, general manager at Gordon Ramsay Holdings’ York & Albany and began his career as house manager and private events manager at Claridge’s. Much admired in the hospitality industry, as area director of sales James will be responsible for the strategic sales goals for Dorchester Collection’s three UK properties overseeing a 13 strong sales team, reporting to area director of sales and marketing Trevor Owen.
Reporting to James, Victoria White has been appointed to assistant director of sales for the three hotels, bringing 12 years’ experience in groups, corporate and leisure sales across both America and the UK from previous sales positions at Four Seasons, Maybourne Hotel Group and Rocco Forte. Known in the industry for her professionalism, efficiency and engaging energy, Victoria will be responsible for increasing business to the UK hotels from the core American markets.
Adding to the team to be the face and personality of social event sales for The Dorchester, Coworth Park and 45 Park Lane, Alexandra Packman joined in April from The Savoy where she was event manager for three years. Prior to that Alexandra looked after clients for Searcy’s and held earlier roles at The Vineyard at Stockcross and Great Fosters. Approaching almost a decade in hospitality, Alexandra will be responsible for ensuring social clients treasure every experience of holding an event at the three UK hotels, with a particular focus on weddings.
Also joining the London based team, Victoria Moir has been appointed to sales executive from her previous role overseeing local relationships and corporate sales for Dorchester Collection’s luxury country house hotel Coworth Park. Friendly, resourceful and knowledgeable, in her new position Victoria will oversee roadshow and meeting business from the financial sector.
Bringing 11 years’ experience to the role, Berkshire local Majella Baldacchino began as director of sales for Coworth Park on 19 August 2013, responsible for driving events, groups, corporate and leisure business to the hotel. Majella joins from InterContinental London Park Lane where she led the corporate sales team as business development director and crossed the world meeting with corporate, MICE and luxury clients. Other sales positions were held at Conrad London and Jurys Doyle Hotel Group. Reporting to Majella, young talent Emily Beach has been promoted to sales executive for Coworth Park from a previous executive position with the group and events team for the three UK hotels.
