As general manager, Jones will lead a staff of 100 and oversee day-to-day operations of the 120-room Mainsail Suites and the newly opened 240-unit Mainsail Apartment Homes, located on the same property in Tampa, Fla.

Jones spent 11 years as director of sales at the Mainsail Suites Hotel & Conference Center, where she developed group and transient market strategies, directed the team of sales and catering managers and oversaw all marketing efforts. When the Mainsail Conference Center opened in 2009, she developed a sales team and implemented innovative strategies to maximize the facility.? Prior to her work with Mainsail, Jones worked as a sales manager at the Tampa Marriot Waterside and the Marriott event booking center. She is a member of Meeting Professionals International (MPI), Westshore Alliance, Upper Tampa Bay Chamber and the Greater Tampa Bay Chamber.
The 360-room Mainsail Suites Hotel & Conference Center recently converted 240 of their one- and two-bedroom suites into long-term residential units, now known as Mainsail Apartment Homes.? The complex also offers furnished temporary corporate housing through ExecuStay?. The remaining 120-suites continue to function as hotel inventory, along with the existing 17,000-square-foot special event center.? The conversion includes $1.5 million in interior upgrades to enhance the apartments and suites, as well as the clubhouse and lobby. The upgrades are scheduled to be completed by August.
