Hotel Astor is pleased to announce the appointment of Eli Kostbar as their new General Manager, bringing a wealth of experience, energy, and passion for the hospitality industry to the South Beach property. His new role at Hotel Astor is a key part of the re-launch taking place at the luxury boutique hotel.
In his new role, Kostbar will oversee all aspects of the boutique hotel operations, facilities management, guest experiences, and employee enrichment. Kostbar is well versed in setting benchmarks for guest satisfaction, revenue growth and market share penetration. His hands-on, lead-by-example management style is one of transformational and inspirational leadership that teaches and guides employees to achieve and deliver excellence through the practices of consistency and dedication.
Beginning his hospitality career as a bus boy at the age of 14, Kostbar has continued to advance and expand his knowledge by working his way up through numerous positions. His career has led him to work has ranged from boutique hotels to luxury hotels with over 1500 rooms in various locations including Washington DC, Hollywood, California; and central and southern Florida.
Kostbar has grown familiar with the Miami Beach market through a position as Front Office Manager of The Raleigh Hotel from 2005 through 2009 before moving on to The Fontainebleau Hotel as Hotel Manager, making him an exceptional candidate.
