BAKU, Azerbaijan – Hilton Worldwide today announced that Manuel Avila has been appointed as the General Manager for the newly built Hilton Hotel in Baku, Azerbaijan.
In his role, Manuel will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the hotel in addition to overseeing the final stages of development before the hotel?s scheduled opening in September 2011. He brings with him a wealth of experience to the role, having worked for Hilton Worldwide for more 25 years in a career that has seen him manage a number of Hilton properties in Spain and Cyprus.

As the first Hilton property in Azerbaijan and the Caucasus region the Hotel will build upon the groups existing reputation, bringing a new standard of international service to the expanding Azeri hospitality market. As a new property the Hilton Baku will have a number of distinguishing features. As well as providing unrivalled business facilities the property will have a revolving bar and restaurant on the 24th and 25th floors.
