Jeffery Burrell Named General Manager of the 230-key Westin Riverfront Beaver Creek, Colorado

AVON, Colo. (Sept. 6, 2013)?- The Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa at Beaver Creek Mountain is pleased to announce that Jeffery Burrell is now serving as the General Manager of the award-winning resort.

With more than 15 years of hospitality experience, Burrell helped open The Westin Riverfront in 2008 as the Director of Operations, a position that he held for more than 4 years and where he oversaw the sustainable luxury efforts that helped the resort become Colorado’s first Silver LEED certified hotel.

Burrell most recently served as the General Manager of Virginia’s historic Mountain Lake Lodge, which completed an extensive multi-million dollar renovation under his leadership.

He also previously held management positions at the Brown Palace Hotel & Spa in Denver, the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Tampa and the Disney Vacation Club and the Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. A graduate of the University of Florida, Burrell is currently pursuing his MBA in International Hospitality & General Services Management from Switzerland’s Glion Institute of Higher Education.

Burrell is an active member of the Colorado Hotel & Lodging Association, the Eagle Valley Alliance for Sustainability, the Vail Valley Partnership, the Ski & Snowboard Outreach Society and Vail Valley Cares. His previous community involvement has included Junior Achievement, the March of Dimes and the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

“Jeff was a key member of The Westin Riverfront’s pre-opening team that helped the resort earn great industry accolades and our coveted Silver LEED status, so we are thrilled to have him back in this new role,” said Harry Frampton, Chairman of East West Resorts, which manages the property. “I know he will be a hands-on leader who will continue The Westin Riverfront’s commitment to delivering amazing guest experiences, strong community partnerships and eco-friendly operating practices.”
