May 10, 2013 (BURLINGTON, VERMONT)?-?Hotel Vermont?has announced the appointment of Jessica Andreola as Assistant General Manager. A member of Burlington Young Professionals with strong Vermont ties, Andreola is responsible for assisting with day-to-day operations of the new hotel that will open on May 16.? She is working closely with General Manager, Hans van Wees, to oversee front office, housekeeping and food and beverage initiatives, as well as continuing her strong contribution to social media programs at the hotel.? Andreola also plays a key role in the procurement of unique Vermont products and services offered exclusively to Hotel Vermont guests; manages “Standards of Practice” training; and oversees large hotel events including the popular Hotel Vermont Ice Bar that has been held annually since 2011.
Andreola moved to Vermont in 2003 to study business administration and started her career in the hotel industry on the opening team of Courtyard Burlington Harbor. She evolved within the property from Event Manager to Operations Manager, overseeing all operations, managing social media and IT, and consistently improving guest service. As a result of Andreola’s successful contributions, TripAdvisor ranked Courtyard Burlington Harbor as the #1 hotel in Burlington, and Marriott ranked the property within the top 6% of all Courtyard properties within the brand.
Jessica earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from the University of Vermont, as well as an MBA from Champlain College. In her free time, Andreola is active in the community, from sitting on the steering committee of Burlington Young Professionals to involvement in the Burlington Business Association and the local Sara Holbrook Center. An avid foodie and wine enthusiast, Andreola also enjoys sailing, traveling, social media and photography.
