Nestor Marchand Named as Food & Beverage Director for the 408-key Turnberry Isle Miami in Florida

AVENTURA, Fla. (September 24, 2013)?- Turnberry Isle Miami announces the appointment of Nestor Marchand as Food & Beverage Director for the legendary South Florida resort. Effective immediately, Marchand will be responsible for overseeing and managing Turnberry Isle Miami’s acclaimed culinary program, which features an onsite chef’s garden, catering and banquets, along with award-winning establishments including Celebrity Chef Michael Mina’s BOURBON STEAK restaurant.

“Nestor brings 20 years of experience working at four and five-star luxury hotels and has held coveted positions at a variety of properties and dining venues,” said Paige Koerbel, Managing Director of Turnberry Isle Miami. “His knowledge and passion for the industry will be instrumental in the continued success and innovation of Turnberry Isle Miami’s food & beverage program.”

Prior to joining Turnberry Isle Miami, Marchand served as Director of Food & Beverage for The Palms Hotel & Spa in Miami Beach, Fla. Additionally, Marchand’s management experience includes five years with The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company at various properties around the United States and tenures at Classic Resident by Hyatt in Aventura, Fla. and Hotel Sofitel in Miami, Fla.

The Sunny Isles Beach resident received his certification as a Food & Beverage Executive, CFBE from the American Hotel and Lodging Association, Educational Institute. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Texas Christian University.
