DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Hotel Philadelphia West welcomes new General Manager John Lowe and Director of Sales and Marketing Michael Slivka, both industry natives of the greater Philly area. With ties to the local community and a combined 55 years of industry experience that John and Mike bring to their respective leadership roles, they are perfectly suited to the DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Hotel Philadelphia West. $6 million in capital has been earmarked for renovations to enhance the guest experience and introduce an exciting new restaurant concept already underway — their experience and local perspective is already being put to use.
?Mr. Lowe brings an array of hotel management experience and longevity to his new position, having 31 years of industry experience and most recently spending the last 12 years as a General Manger for full service properties in the North Eastern sector of the United States. John is a Philadelphia native who has ?grown up? in the hospitality industry,? stated Gina Rinaldo, Vice President of Operations for Hostmark Hospitality Group. Mr. Lowe has a passion for the industry and has received recognition for it, most notably the 2001 American Hotel & Lodging Association?s prestigious National Manager of the Year. 24 year hospitality veteran Michael Slivka was appointed as Director of Sales and Marketing to implement sales strategies that enhance the DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Hotel Philadelphia West positioning and customer service initiatives. Mr. Slivka is no stranger to the role having served in the position once before from 2008 to 2011. ?Mike was an easy choice with his vast knowledge of the area and customer service focus – success is sure to follow,? commented Renee Wilhite, Senior Regional Director of Sales and Marketing for Hostmark Hospitality Group. In his new role Slivka will be responsible for the deployment and coordination of all sales efforts to include group and catering sales. ?It is with much excitement that I approach my new role.
