WAIKIKI, HONOLULU, HAWAII ? Excitement continues to build around the opening of Hokulani Waikiki by Hilton Grand Vacations Club, an upscale timeshare resort in the heart of Waikiki and the final phase of the Outrigger-led redevelopment project of Waikiki Beach Walk?. Outrigger Enterprises Group, which has been contracted by Hilton Grand Vacations to provide comprehensive onsite property management services for the new resort, is pleased to announce the appointment of Pam Yagi as general manager. Yagi will oversee all pre-opening activities as well as ongoing operations of the outstanding 14-story resort, which is scheduled to open its doors in late 2013.

Yagi has been the assistant general manager at the Outrigger-managed Holiday Inn Waikiki Beachcomber Resort for more than seven years. During that time, she also acted as interim general manager at the Courtyard by Marriott Waikiki Beach, which was managed by Outrigger Hotels and Resorts at the time. Prior to the Holiday Inn Waikiki Beachcomber, she was hotel manager at the former OHANA Royal Islander. In addition to growing in her responsibilities since she was hired in 1990, Yagi has excelled in learning, implementing and upholding the standards and systems of national franchise brands.
Yagi is an active member of the Pacific Asia Travel Association, an international association working to promote the responsible development of travel and tourism in the Asia Pacific region. Currently, she is chair of the executive committee of the Hawaii Chapter of PATA, acted as the chapter?s vice chair last year and has been serving on the executive committee since 2009. She holds the globally recognized Certified Hospitality Administrator (CHA) credential from the American Hotel & Lodging Association demonstrating that she is among the best in the hospitality profession.
The grand opening of the Hokulani Waikiki will mark the completion of the final phase of Waikiki Beach Walk, the largest single development in Waikiki?s history. Since first opening in 2006, Waikiki Beach Walk has become a gathering place for residents and visitors alike to enjoy warm hospitality, distinctive dining and shopping experiences and authentic cultural entertainment. Hokulani Waikiki is located at the site of the former OHANA Islander Waikiki Hotel and was acquired from Outrigger Enterprises Group by Hilton Grand Vacations in May 2011.
