Peter Nichols, a seasoned professional in the hospitality industry, has been named Vice President of Development for Waterford Hotel Group, one of the nation?s leading hotel management companies. Nichols brings to the company nearly 30 years of hospitality experience and an impressive track record in hotel acquisitions and development. As Vice President of Development, Nichols will direct all development efforts for Waterford Hotel Group, including third-party management and investment opportunities.
Nichols joins Waterford Hotel Group from his most recent role as Vice President for Hodges Ward Elliott, a position he held for more than 10 years, during which time he participated in more than $5.7 billion worth of hotel transactions. Previously, Nichols served as President and Founder of Signature Hotel Group and as Regional Manager/General Manager for Promus Hotels.

Nichols holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality and Lodging Management from Johnson & Wales University. A Cheshire, Connecticut native, Nichols will return to Connecticut from Atlanta with his wife and two children.
