Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel in Chicago Appoints Gordon Taylor III as Director of Sales and Marketing

CHICAGO (Aug. 6, 2013)?- The Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel, Chicago today announced Gordon A. Taylor III has been appointed as director of sales and marketing. In this role, Taylor provides leadership, direction, and management to the sales teams of the upper-upscale hotel to achieve all sales and revenue objectives.

“Gordon’s exceptional knowledge of the hospitality industry and out-of-the-box ideas make him a valuable asset to the Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel, Chicago,” said General Manager Pierre-Louis Giacotto. “I am thrilled to have him join our team and I am confident he will help drive the hotel’s continued success in years to come.”

Taylor’s key responsibilities include providing sales leadership for all levels of the hotel, executing promotional programs, budget planning, developing key stakeholder relationships, driving customer satisfaction, and building segment strategies in order to drive revenue. In addition, Taylor will develop and implement marketing strategies to create discernible competitive advantages.

Taylor brings to his new role more than 15 years of experience from hotels across the country. His most recent achievements as director of sales and marketing at the Hyatt Regency Austin will offer the newly LEED? Silver certified property a dynamic new perspective. During his tenure in Austin, he increased volume account production by 12.5% year over year and led a sales and marketing team of seven, which represented group, business travel, and leisure segments. Prior to joining the Austin Downtown hotel, Taylor worked the Hyatt Regency Chicago and the Chicago Marriott Downtown Magnificent Mile.

Taylor is a graduate of Eastern Illinois University, with a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communication.
