The soon-to-open Royal Rose, the first 5-star property owned by the Bin Ham Group and managed by the City Seasons Group of Hotels, has appointed Mr. Ammar Zakaria as Director of Human Resources and Mr. Michael Kappes as Director of Business Development.
Mr. Zakaria brings 20 years of hospitality experience working in various prestigious brands including Shangri-la Hotels & Resorts in Dubai and Muscat and Iberotel Hotels & Resorts in UAE. His career started with a position in the Finance Department and was shortly promoted to the Front Office before joining the Human Resources Department. With a strong and deep pre-opening experience, Mr. Zakaria?s main task as director of Human Resources is to provide support and direction for the property in all aspects of human resources.
Mr. Kappes grew up in Germany where he started his hotel career as an apprentice in Bremen, at the Park Hotel Bremen. He brings over 35 years of experience, working with national and international hotel brands and covering a range of sectors including sales and marketing, front office management and reservations. Mr. Kappes has been around in the Gulf for quite a number of years and had successful postings in Sana?a, Bahrain, Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Muscat previously with Sheraton and IHG. In his role at the Royal Rose, he will lead and direct a team of 16 dedicated sales and revenue professionals to prepare for the successful opening of this stunning property.
