Sophia Parker named GM of Holiday Inn Columbus ? North

Sophia Parker?has been named General Manager of the Holiday Inn Columbus – North, a recently renovated 222-room full service hotel located next to I-185 in Columbus, GA. Sophia, having worked at the property since 1998, brings an outgoing personality and customer service expertise to the position.

?Sophia has been a loyal, dedicated employee for 15 years,? said Robert Holsten, Executive Vice President Of Operations, First Call Hospitality, Inc., which manages the Holiday Inn. ?She has the experience and skills we need for our new General Manager in Columbus. Combine that with how she interacts with our guests, and she?s the perfect fit.?

In addition to her customer service expertise, she brings technical and computer-oriented skills to the position as well. Before entering the hotel industry, she was a Retail Manager at a clothing and accessories store. She has spent her 18-year hotel career working for Holiday Inn brand hotels.

Sophia was born in Jamaica, and lived in Canada for 10 years before moving to the United States. She received her degree in Business Office Technology at the Columbus Technical College in Columbus, GA. In her spare time she enjoys the outdoors and is an avid walker, as well as spending time with her 3 children.
