Delray Beach, FL, July 12, 2013?- Sundy House, an award-winning restaurant and boutique hotel located in Delray Beach, Florida, has named Marco Schlenz as the new General Manager. Schlenz most recently served as Director of Club Operations at St. Andrews Country Club in Boca Raton.
A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York, Schlenz has served as the General Manager for both the President Country Club in West Palm Beach and the Dye Preserve Golf Club in Jupiter, Florida.
For many years, Schlenz was Corporate Chef/Partner in Gastronomy, Inc., a six-restaurant concept that became the largest independent chain in Utah.
Schlenz has been recognized by Food and Wine Magazine as “One of the Best Chefs in the USA,” by the Los Angeles Times as the “Best New Restaurant, Salt Lake City,” and has been the recipient of several other awards. He served as the key person in operations for the Salt Lake City Winter Olympics bid.
With a Swiss apprenticeship from the Hotel Adler in Diessenhofen, Switzerland, Schlenz holds a dual Swiss-USA citizenship. He is fluent in Spanish and Swiss-German and resides in West Palm Beach with his wife and two sons. Schlenz has a degree from the Culinary Institute of America and is a member of the Club Manager’s Association.
Sundy House Executive Chef is Lindsay Autry, a “Top Chef Texas” finalist, who most recently served as the Executive Chef of Michelle Bernstein’s at The Omphoy Ocean Resort in Palm Beach.
