The Resort at The Mountain, Mount Hood, Oregon welcomes new personnel

The Resort at The Mountain announces changes to its staff with the appointment of Aaron Williams as Director of Food and Beverage, Amber Cagle as Director of Sales and Rachelle Closner as Spa Manager.

“This is an exciting time for The Resort,” said John Erickson, general manager of The Resort. “Aaron, Amber and Rachelle each bring great qualities, experience and insight in the hospitality industry, and I’m confident that they will each enhance the overall experience here at The Resort.”

Aaron Williams, director of food and beverage, is responsible for the oversight, management and quality assurance for all aspects of the food and beverage program at The Resort, including the property’s two restaurants, Altitude and mallards caf? & pub. He comes to The Resort from a versatile background within the hospitality industry. Prior to The Resort, Williams worked at The Farmers Union Restaurant in San Jose, Calif; Harbor Shores Golf Club in Benton Harbor, Mich.; Northwoods Lodge in Aspen, Colo., Bull Valley Golf Club in Woodstock, Ill.; Tiger Point Golf Club in Gulf Breeze, Fla.; and Shipyard Golf Club in Hilton Head, S.C.

Amber Cagle, director of sales, is responsible for managing The Resort’s sales team through the development and implementation of sales strategies for multiple divisions including accommodations, golf, catering, food and beverage and special events at The Resort. Most recently, Cagle was the director of sales and hospitality revenue and the interim general manager at University Place Hotel in Portland, Ore. Her previous experience includes sales director and management roles at The Riverhouse Resort and Convention Center in Bend, Ore.; Skamania Lodge in Stevenson, Wash.; Salishan Spa and Golf Resort in Gleneden Beach, Ore.; Boulder Creek Golf Club in Boulder City, Nev.; and Belagio Hotel and Resort in Las Vegas.

Rachelle Closner, spa manager, is responsible for all aspects of The Spa including operations, payroll processing, ordering spa supplies and retail inventory, scheduling and new program development for the 5,000 square-foot facility. Closner is a native of Boring, Ore. and has a degree in Massage Therapy from the East West College of Healing Arts in Portland, Ore.

The Resort offers an extensive list of onsite recreation, including lawn games, croquet, tennis, basketball, volleyball, badminton, nature trails, mountain biking and more; as well as scenic golf at the 27-hole golf complex, The Courses; wellness-focused treatments at The Spa; and Northwest cuisine at the casually upscale Altitude and seasonally open mallards caf? & pub.
