Urgo Hotels and Resorts, a major operator, developer and owner of upscale hotels, announced today the promotion of Kyle Hamill from Director to Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Hamill’s extensive in-house experience is invaluable to Urgo Hotels and Resorts’ rapid growth and revenue objectives within the 32-hotel portfolio. With 17 years of hospitality industry experience, he joined the company in 2009 to assist with the growth of its portfolio, which includes Marriott, Hilton, Sheraton, Radisson and Choice Hotels. Hamill has since successfully rebranded three properties in Florida and led the build of the Fort Lauderdale Marriott Pompano Beach Resort & Spa, the first hotel to break ground in Pompano Beach in a decade.
“Kyle is a strong asset to our organization and has earned the position of Vice President of Sales and Marketing with his drive, leadership and experience,” said Don Urgo, Jr., acting Senior Vice President of Urgo Hotels and Resorts. “We are excited to work with such a tremendous professional on an executive level, and look forward to watching him lead his team to further success.”
Hamill has spent the greater part of the past two decades working in the hospitality industry and has vast experience in events, sales and marketing. In the four years that Hamill has been with Urgo Hotels and Resorts, he has been charged with leading the sales and marketing efforts for the portfolio as well as rebranding Palm Beach Marriott Singer Island Beach Resort & Spa, formerly a Starwood Resorts & Hotels property, transitioning Blue Moon Hotel and The Winter Haven into Marriott’s Autograph Collection, formerly independent hotels, as well as led the build of the group’s newest property, Fort Lauderdale Marriott Pompano Beach Resort & Spa.
