This will give a fresh impetus to the privatization of hotel groups and investments into new resorts. One of the upcoming big investments is a large project in Split. The plan includes to increase the number of beds in this holiday spot to 5.000 in the medium-term. The British investment funds EMAC aims to invest into Croatia’s green tourism and plans construction projects in Istria as well as at the peninsula Peljesac near Dubrovnik. In Dubrovnik the hotel group Jedranski Luksuzn Hoteli and Riviera Adria further invest into their locally existing hotels (with more than 60 million Euros).
