AHMEDABAD: Global hotel operator Accor today said it plans to open 47?hotels?in India by 2015 as part of diversifying its business ventures across the country.
“We plan to open 47 hotels by 2015 in India,”?Accor IndiaSenior Vice-President (Operations)?Jean-Michel Casse?told mediapersons here.
The announcement was made at the opening of Novotel, Accor’s mid-scale hotel brand, in Ahmedabad.
Novotel, Ahmedabad is the leading hotel operator’s 23rd property in India. It is also Accor’s second hotel in the city after Formule1, another brand owned by the Group, which opened this year.
Another hotel under the Novotel brand would start operating in Pune in two weeks, said Casse, adding that the French Group is also coming up with an upscale hotel in Gandhinagar.
