Even more international customers for AFI KLM E&M?

A new partnership with Royal Brunei Airlines

AFI KLM E&M and the Southeast Asian airline Royal Brunei Airlines (RB) have signed a long-term partnership agreement to support the entry into service of five Boeing 787 Dreamliners in the RB fleet. Within the framework of this partnership, AFI KLM E&M will provide RB with a wide range of engineering services, including technical support of the fleet, spare parts and repair services. The agreement provides that 787 parts will be dispatched to several different places by AFI KLM E&M to support RB?s activity and ensure the continuity of operations.

Enhanced collaboration with IndiGo?

AFI KLM E&M and the Indian low-cost airline IndiGo are extending their collaboration within the framework of the Airbus A320 equipment support agreement that has linked the two groups since 2007. The agreement covers 60 Airbus A320 and is still expanding, with new Airbus deliveries planned for IndiGo by the end of the year and in 2014. In addition to access to AFI KLM E&M?s stock of A320 equipment, the agreement provides repair services and dedicated logistics support.
In addition, the two partners have agreed that the Indian airline?s future A320 NEO, whose first deliveries are expected in 2016, will be a part of the equipment support agreement if IndiGo so chooses.

A new industrial unit dedicated to aerostructures at Paris-Charles de Gaulle?

In line with recent investments in its manufacturing facilities in France, AFI KLM E&M has launched a project to build a new unit dedicated to aerostructures at Paris-Charles de Gaulle. With this operation, the Group intends to be closer to its aircraft for optimum responsiveness to its customers.
The deployment of this industrial project is part of the objectives of the Air France-KLM strategic plan, Transform 2015, aiming for modernization and improved performance. AFI KLM E&M will become more efficient with handling time halved to carry out the maintenance, overhaul or repair of aircraft structures. In addition, the facility will enable the Group to strengthen its position in composite equipment, beyond industrial repairs and the revision of aerostructures.
This future aerostructures unit will occupy a building of 20,000 sq. m. on a plot of 4.5 hectares, opposite the AFI KLM E&M A380 hangar. The plans for the building, which will be certified High Environmental Quality (HQE), are currently being drawn up. Delivery has been set for summer 2015.
The Group currently has several aerostructures workshops ? including one at Schiphol airport in Amsterdam, and the other at Le Bourget airport. With this project, AFI KLM E&M is grouping its operations north of Paris and is expanding its range of aerostructures products and services.
