Air France celebrates international women’s day with the world’s biggest female crew

This is the first time that the Company is organizing an all-women’s crew on board the biggest aircraft in its fleet, which can carry up to 516 passengers.

An all-female crew on international women’s day: a tradition at Air France

All-female flight crews often operate at various other times of the year, but the March 8 female crew has been an established tradition at Air France for 7 years. Whether they are flying to Beijing, Tokyo, Mexico City or today to Washington, these all-female flights are always a popular event for both crew and passengers.

A second all-female flight committed to development

On 9 March, a second all-female crew will take off for Madagascar. Val?rie Lo?venbruck, Air France Flight Captain, is behind this initiative to operate an all-female flight on board a Boeing 777-200 in an aim to meet two associations funded by the Air France Foundation: “SOS villages d’enfants” and “A?na enfance et avenir”. The Foundation will be offering the children educational toys and school supplies.
