Best Western Mega KuninganBest Western International (BWI) has expanded its portfolio in Jakarta, with the launch of a new hotel – Best Western Mega Kuningan.

Located in the prime business and commercial area of Mega Kuningan, close to several embassies and the offices of multinational companies, Best Western Mega Kuningan is truly in the heart of the city.

Set in a nine-story building, this modern midscale hotel will offer comfortable and contemporary accommodation for both business and leisure travelers. The 67 guest rooms and suites all come equipped with such amenities as flat-screen televisions with international satellite channels, minibars, tea and coffee making facilities, work desks and complimentary Wi-Fi.

The hotel will also feature the Teratai Coffee Shop serving light refreshments throughout the day, a stylish outdoor swimming pool for guests to soak up the tropical sun, and a meeting room that can handle up to 46 people offering the latest audio-visual equipment.

“We are delighted to announce the opening of the Best Western Mega Kuningan – our second hotel in the exciting city of Jakarta,” said BWI’s Vice President of International Operations for Asia & the Middle East, Glenn de Souza.

“As the capital of one of the world’s most populous countries and the seat of the ASEAN Secretariat, Jakarta is becoming a highly important commercial and political hub. As the world continues to look eastwards, towards the booming Asia Pacific region, Jakarta’s presence will continue to grow.

“And Best Western Mega Kuningan is now perfectly placed to cater for the increasing number of business and leisure travelers to this exciting city,” Mr. de Souza added.

Best Western Mega Kuningan becomes the BWI’s second hotel in Jakarta, following the existing 168-room Best Western Mangga Dua Hotel & Residence. But this is just the start of the company’s plans for the city.

Over the next two years, BWI expects to open at least five new properties in Jakarta, under its midscale Best Western and luxury Best Western PREMIER products, expanding its citywide inventory to more than 1,200 rooms.
